The Neighbors in Action Community Center is a unique facility in Port Houston area that hosts activities and programs to benefit the immigrant and first-generation residents in the immediate vicinity and beyond.

Utilizing a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) frame structure, it creates a series of covered outdoor spaces that are shaded by the large roof and oriented to capture the prevailing breezes from the southeast.  The large pavilion space hosts outdoor events, holiday festivals and is a play space for children and adolescents after school and on weekends.

The interior features a large multi-use space, learning kitchen, reading spaces, staff offices and meeting rooms to provide fellowship, social support, and educational services.

Bold accents of color on the metal structure and within the building create an environment that is as vibrant and energetic as the users and staff of Neighbors in Action.
